Mytilene can be reached from Athens and Thessaloniki by air and by boat.

From Athens: From the International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos there are everyday numerous flights to Mytilene by Olympic airlines and Aegean airlines. Charter flights to Mytilene are avaialble from several European cities and Aegean Airlines has direct flights to Germany and Italy. The Mytilene airport is just outside the city and the ride to the city by taxi costs 7 Euros. From the port Piraeus there are daily boats to Mytilene. The journey lasts 8 hours. The port of Mytilene is in the city. More information at www.ferries.gr.

From Thessaloniki: There are flights from the airport Macedonia and also boat connections to Mytilene.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The following hotels offer special prices for the participants of the School:

All hotels are in a walking distance from the Municipal Theatre where the School will take place, except Lasia Hotel and Mytilana Village Hotel which are outside the town. Transportation to the Municipal Theatre will be provided daily from these hotels.

The Organizing Committee tried to accommodate the participants to the hotels of their choice. That was not always possible. You can find your hotel HERE. When you have finalized your travel plans, please confirm your booking directly to the HOTELS, not later than the end of July in order to secure your booking.

Last minute information

There will be a welcome reception on Sunday 23rd of September in the foyer of the Municipal Theatre of Mytilene starting at 19.00. You are all invited.

The registration will be from 8.30-11.00 every morning in the foyer of the Municipal Theatre. In the theatre room there will be a wireless internet connection, so bring your laptop with you. For the speakers, computer projector, overhead projector and a black board will be available.

The hotel reservation of all the registered participants have been confirmed to the hotels by the organizing committee. You can find your hotel on the map of the city in the MAP link. If you are coming from the airport take a taxi to your hotel. The ride to the town hotels is not more than 10 minutes and the cost is about 7 Euros. If you are coming from the harbor your hotel is in a waking distance.

Lasia hotel is 3 km from the airport while Mytilana Village is 12 km from the airport in the direction to Kaloni. Every morning there will be a bus from both hotels to the Municipal Theatre.
