New Code Range Filter Dialog Box

Exclude on code items from thread data sharing analyses.

To access this dialog box, use the pop-up menu of the Thread Data Sharing Filters window. To access this window, select Parallel > Thread Data Sharing Filters.

Toolbar

Not available.

Use this dialog box to specify a code region, a source file, or a function to filter for further data sharing analyses. Any further accesses from tasks created within the specified code range or source file, or from the specified function, will not be displayed in the Thread Data Sharing Events window.

Note iconNote

The filter does not affect data sharing events already displayed in the Thread Data Sharing Events window.

Entire Function

Specifies a function to be excluded from further analyses.

Entire Source File

Specifies a source file to be excluded from further analyses.

Address Range

Enter any expression to specify the start and end address or code location for the code range to be excluded from further analyses.

If you enter the syntax of a source line as expression, a source line filter is set, this means, all thread data sharing events generated by the specified source line are excluded from detection.

Language

Selects the programming language for the code range to be filtered. This language will be used permanently, unless you change it again. The language selection is also used for new filters.

Tip iconTip

If you add a code range filter on a task creation point to the suppress filter set, the entire task is ignored.
