Level Shift Functions

This section describes the Intel IPP functions that perform level shift operation and are specific for JPEG codec. These functions are listed in Table “Level Shift Functions”.

Level Shift Functions
Function Base Name	Description
Sub128_JPEG	Performs level shift to the signed representation.
Add128_JPEG	Performs level shift to the unsigned representation.

The level shift operation is implemented in accordance with its definition in [ISO10918], Annex A.3.1, Level Shift.

Sub128_JPEG
Converts data from the unsigned 8u range to the signed 16s range.
Add128_JPEG
Restores samples to the unsigned representation.
