Following Pointers

You can cause the Memory window to follow the pointer marked by the Memory window cursor.

To follow a pointer:

  1. Open a Memory window as described in Displaying Memory Content.
  2. Right-click in the Memory window.

    The pop-up menu of the Memory window appears.

  3. Select Follow.

    The contents of the marked section of memory is interpreted as a memory address, which becomes the new start address.

This menu item is disabled if the format is not a pointer type.
