De: Andreas Brandhuber Asunto: 3-Year, fixed term Lectureship in Theoretical Physics at QMUL Fecha: 7 de mayo de 2013 13:58:56 GMT+02:00 Para: Gabriele Travaglini, bill Dear colleagues, We would be grateful if you could circulate the following announcement for a 3-Year Lectureship position in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Queen Mary University of London: The Centre for Research in String Theory is advertising a fixed-term (3-year) Lectureship in Theoretical Physics starting October 1, 2013. This position will provide the successful candidate with an exceptional opportunity to become part of a highly active Research Centre focused on fertile and vibrant areas of theoretical physics. Post Information and Requirements: Applicants should have a strong research record within theoretical physics, in an area consonant with the current research in the Centre for Research in String Theory (http://strings.ph.qmul.ac.uk ). We would particularly welcome applicants with a high level of expertise in the area of modern methods for the computation of scattering amplitudes in gauge theory and gravity, covering higher-order perturbative calculations in supersymmetric gauge theories and gravity with a focus on connections to AdS/CFT correspondence, string theory and twistors, perturbative QCD, and integrability. Candidates should demonstrate a consistent ability to contribute to new developments in their field, as well as an interest in and ability to collaborate with colleagues within the Centre for Research in String Theory and more widely. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching at undergraduate/graduate level, scholarship and administration within the School. Full details about the post and information how to apply can be found here http://strings.ph.qmul.ac.uk/news/fixed-term-lectureship-theoretical-physics and here http://www.jobs.qmul.ac.uk/3829. Deadline for application: 3 June 2013. Applicants should have three reference letters sent to our Recruitment Officer Ms Jazmina Moura, j.moura@qmul.ac.uk by the deadline. Interviews are expected to be held in the week of 24 June 2013. Informal enquiries should be addressed to Prof Andreas Brandhuber a.brandhuber@qmul.ac.uk, Prof Gabriele Travaglini g.travaglini@qmul.ac.uk or Prof Bill Spence w.j.spence@qmul.ac.uk. Many thanks in advance, Andi Brandhuber, Bill Spence and Gabriele Travaglini
